GifSync follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), and date and time stamp of when pages are accessed. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, and tracking users' movement on the website. Like any other website, GifSync uses 'session cookies'. These cookies are used only to store the user's login status and are deleted upon closing your browser.

In the following sections, the term "log out" is defined as actively clicking the "Forget Me" option located at the top-right of the website.
Note that GifSync currently does not use any third party tracking or advertisement software and does not sell your data to third parties.
GifSync utilizes the Spotify API to request your currently playing song. The following information is stored in our database, which is hosted by Heroku:
No other information accessible with your Spotify OAuth2 API Token is gathered, collected, or recorded by GifSync. You may log out of GifSync at any time and all information regarding your synced gifs and your Spotify account in our database will be deleted.
Gifs you upload to GifSync are stored in our database for an indefinite period of time until you either log out or until all synced gifs using said image are deleted.
GifSync does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in GifSync. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
